W.O.W.
W—What an incredible social media advocacy kickoff to 2013…
O—Oh my goodness I can’t believe how it turned out…
W—We could have not done this without the support and participation of our AMAZING music therapy community and advocates…
As we wrap up this year’s Social Media Advocacy project, I thought it would be fun to share some numbers with you:
In 2011, a total of 28 bloggers and podcasters published 56 posts.
In 2012, a total of 40 bloggers and podcasters published 58 posts, which included 5 podcast episodes and 3 advocacy videos.
In 2013, a total of 48 bloggers and podcasters published 68 posts, including 7 podcast episodes, 5 advocacy videos (several of which were music videos), and 2 infographics. Other highlights from this year include:
- 19 bloggers and podcasters who are new participants in this project
- 4 posts from music therapy educators
- Multiple endorsements and shout-outs from a certain celebrity friend of music therapy…
In short, I would like to thank our active and vibrant online community of music therapists, music therapy students and interns, and music therapy supporters who participated in this project.
