I am proud to be a Hot Momma! No…that has nothing to do with my looks and the fact that I am a mom. It has to do with a 250-word case study I submitted last January to the Hot Mommas Project.
The mission of this project, the brain-child of Kathy Korman Frey, is “to increase self-efficacy in women and girls by providing scalable, global, free access to role models online.” They do this by soliciting case studies from women around the world who are nominated to share their story. These women and their stories are meant to inspire and serve as role models for women and girls all over the world.
The case studies are judged and winners are picked. And guess who’sĀ 2011 Top 25 finalist?
Me!
For someone who has never, ever won a writing award–nor, frankly, even considered myself a writer–I’m incredibly honored by this. I’ll be tuning in to the awards ceremony tomorrow. Although held in DC, it’ll be live-streamed for out-of-towners like me š
I share this with you because it’s because of YOU that I have this blog and do the writing I do. Thank you for your support, comments, and encouragement over the past 2 years.
And thank you for letting me share my excitement with you.
